If you have lived long enough, you will realize that, we will not all have the same experience because we come from different backgrounds. We may not be able to shop in the same places, we may not have the same family, we may not attend the same schools, but there are some things that all of us have in common. And that is TIME. Time is the common denominator among men.

THINGS ABOUT TIME

1. TIME IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS.
Time has no respect to your birth, academic or religious background; it is simply a facilitator of progress. No matter how poor you are, time has no sympathy; no matter how rich you are, time plays no favorite. Whatever you drop in time, will grow in time. If you drop the good, it will grow in time, if you drop the bad it will grow in time. You are responsible for the seed you plant in time, and the harvest too is all yours.

2. TIME CANNOT BE STORED.
There is no bag that can keep time. But time is the only few things you cannot do once but you can be restore.

3. TIME CANNOT BE BOUGHT.
There is no place you can go to buy time. You can buy other people’s time, but you cannot get an extra hour to add to your one time. You cannot suddenly awake up to find out 9 days in your week. It’s never going to happen.

Whatever you cannot get more of multiply its values exponentially. This is the whole basis for the Bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies. You cannot reproduce it; it can only grow in value by the number of people that use it.

You activities must be valuable enough, that you do not trivialize the time you engage in them. You cannot say you are killing time. You cannot say you are whiling away time. If you are watching a movie for instance, tell yourself that you are taking time out to relax. To say that you are watching a movie to kill time is as close to idiocy as you can get.Let me digress to the bible a little but to drive these points and mind you, it's universal. 

Ecclesiastes 9:11 (KJV)
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

What this means is that, professional training does not necessary translate to success. That you attended Harvard is not a guarantee of a better life.

TWO THINGS HAPPEN TO ALL MEN;

TIME and CHANGES (opportunity).

If these two things don’t work in your favour, you can have skill, talent, and still not succeed at the end of your life.

Time and opportunity happens to everyone. If I say to you, “Do you want to be great, what will your answer be? If I go further to say to you that “Today you’ve had many opportunities to be great, you would very much doubt that”. You know why? Because opportunity rarely presents itself as such, it presents itself as:

i. CHAOS
Chaos connotes disorder, confusion and uncertainty. People who are afraid of chaos rarely succeed. Successful are able to see the opportunity in disorder.  Today you may have stopped at a bus stop, and notice a crowd of people waiting for the bus stop and when the only bus available arrived, it could only take so much people, while sizable number were still stranded. You see that as a chaos and another person sees opportunity for a transportation business. In life, everyone always gets their chances (opportunity) that could have very well been yours.

ii. CHALLENGE
challenge puts you under pressure to perform. What is the challenge in front of you that you are running away from because you do not understand it as an opportunity for success? SEIZE YOUR MOMENT.
I wouldn’t have known that there was this preacher in me when the opportunity was given to me to pastor this church. Back in the day, there was no form or comeliness, but when that capacity was challenged, I was brutally honest with myself, and had to bring out my best.

iii. CALL
For most people, this is easy to navigate, because they can sense. There is a feeling that you are called up for something higher. You may not fully grasp it, but you prepare yourself daily for when your opportunity will come. And it does eventually come, that’s when greatness happens; depending on what you do with it though.
