I have heard previously that there are some environments that encourage creativity and "correct" thinking.
It is a "truly true" fact. I think.
That's why you'll hear people saying you should just go to Eko hotel, buy a bottle of coke for 3k and drink while you think about your life, and go back home.
Well I've not done that before myself so I won't talk about it.
I'll talk about a part of my experience in Port Harcourt recently.
When I entered the lobby of the hotel, I knew there was trouble. Good trouble.
The beauty and aesthetics were top notch.
We didn't stay there for long before we were checked in.
But there's something I noticed about the room, and that's what I'll share.
Within minutes, the whole room was cold.
I've been in rooms with good AC, but this one was different. It was as if they planned to freeze something in me.
It was just one AC, but the effect was very tangible all round the room.
I looked at it for some seconds and said in my mind, YES. This is it. This is how it works in life.
I remembered the big standing ACs that are used in the winning mindset hall.
I knew that if this same AC that was terrorising me was put in a 1000 seater capacity hall, people won't even know it's there.
So it was put in a room that's equivalent to it's capacity.
Are you getting it already?
I can end here. But let me not assume.
Let me break it down a little more.
Most times, our impacts and efforts are not felt, not because they are not valid, but because we have gone to plant ourselves in a place that's far above what our capacity can handle.
You can make a room extremely cool, but you want a hall.
And instead of increasing your capacity to serve a hall, you've carried yourself to the hall already and no one is feeling your impact.
The best way to improve things around you is to improve YOU.
The stage isn't running away. The real work is behind the scenes.
If you have capacity for a palace, you'll only be in prison for a limited time. Ask Joseph
The AC in a room.
The AC in a hall.
You can only serve effectively in the space your capacity can handle
